I Fix The Hole In This Front Bumper

What’s doing is he’s grinding the paint off of an old bumper that was already trashed. We just cut a section off of it. We’re gonna use the plastic from it to cut in and fill this other bumper that looks like they might have rear ended somebody that had a hitch.

I’ve already started the repair, so forgive me, but all I did was grind this down with 80 grit. I heated this up with a heat gun. And then I took the tool and just pulled the plastic back out. So I’m putting Bondo on now, This is actually the second coat. So I’m gonna show you guys how to do this. You can see I’ve Bondo’ed it once and sanded it back down. Just trying to get it smooth, smooth layer here so that when I go to sand this down everything will be nice and flat and smooth so that you don’t see any kind of deviations in it, otherwise people know that it’s been repainted before you saw we welded the plastic.

We Bondo’ed it, sanded it down to smooth, primed it, wet sanded that and then I painted it. That’s it. We’ll do some more detailed videos on priming, wet sanding, base coat application and clear coat application.

Here’s our bumper that had a hole In it.
