How To Remove Scuff Marks From Car – Interior Repair

Hey, what’s up? Kalen from Carpanion here to show you guys a neat little trick with getting rid of scuff marks on the interior panels. This is a back hatch to a Infinity QX 60.

We’ve already fixed a lot of them, but there’s two spots right here and here. All right, so pan back and watch this. So what we’re gonna do. Blowtorch, turn it down. You’re not trying to cook it, but you want to get, you know, get some flames and then see if you can catch it. Now what you’ll do is you run the torch over the areas that are in question or that are scuffed.

You’ll see it, you’ll see it gloss up and go away. Same thing with one over here too. So that’ll get rid of a lot of the white scuff marks that you see on interior panels. You got to be careful, though. You can use a heat gun that also works.

The follow up to that so that you can make it consistent, because what you’ll see is after you do this, there’ll be glossy patches throughout the panel, wherever you did a repair. Take clear. Coat rattle can clear is fine. You want to dust it over the entire panel. That will give you a uniform finish over the entire panel.
